Evolution is just a "theory."
According to the scientific method, a “theory” is an explanation grounded in a large amount of evidence. Among scientists, evolution is considered a very solid, well-trusted idea, and one of the most fundamental laws of nature. In fact, evolution is a theory just like plate tectonics is a theory, and the force of gravity is a theory. So far NO credible evidence has been offered to disprove any of these theories, including the theory of evolution.
Here are some common Misconceptions about
Natural Selection and the theory of Evolution
A misconception is a view or opinion that is incorrect because based on faulty thinking or understanding and the theory of evolution by natural selection has many common misconceptions.
This misconception stems from a mix-up with the word theory. In everyday language, theory is often used to mean a hunch with little evidential support. Scientific theories, on the other hand, are broad explanations for a wide range of phenomena. In order to be accepted by the scientific community, a theory must be strongly supported by many different lines of evidence. Evolution is a well-supported and widely accepted scientific theory; it is certainly not ‘just’ a hunch.
No. We may share a common ancestor, but humans did not come from the monkeys we see today. Although man and monkeys may have both came from a monkey-like species millions of years ago, humans did not evolve directly from the modern monkeys we see today. That makes no sense.

An organism's ‘fitness’ depends on the environment. When the environment changes (and we know it does), a fit organism’s adaptation may become less successful and thus, the organism may no longer be perfectly adapted to the environment anymore. Therefore, evolution is not a ladder with better organisms at the top. |
Organisms do not adapt physically during their lifetime. The process of natural selection leads to some members of a group to survive or reproduce better depending on the characteristics they already have.
Evolution does not explain the origin of life, but it does explain how life may have developed after it appeared on Earth. In other words, to have evolution occur there needs to be a already existing organisms, meaning life must already exist before the process of natural selection or evolution can even take place.
This is not true. Evolution as a science makes no specific statements against the existence of God, and is not incompatible with an almighty creator whatsoever.
