This class will provide a lot more freedom for you to work at your own pace as well as the opportunity to decide how you want to master the content you are required to learn than you are probably used to. So, I strongly encourage you to carefully review the class orientation information provided and complete the orientation scavenger hunt I prepared for you to help familiarize yourself with some important information on how to ensure your success in this class.

Please remember I am here to support you all along the way! If at any time if you feel stressed, overwhelmed, confused in any way don’t be afraid to reach out to me! I am here for you! It is so important to me that you are successful and really enjoy this class. See you soon!
Sincerely,
Carl Clark

About the Author
Hello, my name is Carl Clark, and 2022 officially begins my eighteenth year as a professional educator and I am proud to say this is my thirteenth year teaching at St. James Middle School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. My wife Rebecca and I have two boys named Alexander and Christian, and we consider ourselves truly blessed! I grew up on Long Island, New York, and completed my undergraduate work majoring in Biology at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. |
I began my teaching career in Florida, teaching 5th grade math and science for five years, eventually becoming a National Board Certified middle school science teacher. I also earned my master's degree in instructional technology at Coastal Carolina University in 2021. During my free time I really enjoy riding my motorcycle, playing soccer, watching sports, and exercising. Most of all, I love spending precious time with my family, preferably at the beach. :)
